With ToughShield Plus Parker introduces a new, better zinc-nickel plating. It is the new standard plating on all tube fittings and adapters, offering significantly increased corrosion resistance. The composition of ToughShield Plus offers an optimal balance between excellent corrosion protection and assembly performance. ToughShield Plus provides extended fitting life, reduced maintenance and increased uptime. The assembly processes remain the same and ToughShield Plus components can be combined with components of the previous plating technology without adjustments.
The conversion of the plating to the new ToughShield Plus technology is already taking place gradually. This is a technological advancement of the existing products. After the items still in stock have been sold, the fittings with a zinc-nickel plating will only be available with ToughShield Plus.
Visually the new coating results in a color shift from silver to grey. You can also identify the new parts by a ToughShield Plus label on the packaging.
