Buy Ermeto original hydraulic tube fittings made of galvanized steel and stainless steel online
The Ermeto original (EO) hydraulic tube fittings from Parker are characterized by the fact that a cutting ring enables safe and simple assembly. They withstand high pressures and are designed for hydraulic applications.
Depending on the application, parts made of brass, galvanized steel or stainless steel are used.
Areas of Application for Parker Ermeto Fittings
Ermeto fittings are ideally suited for hydraulic applications in demanding environments. Thanks to their high pressure resistance, which extends up to 500 bar in the L series and 800 bar in the S series, they offer maximum safety even under extreme conditions. Customers from various industries appreciate this fact. Ermeto fittings are used in, among others, the following areas:
- Automotive Industry: For robust connections in vehicle hydraulics
- Medical and Pharma: Reliable fittings for sensitive systems
- Oil and Gas: Safe transport of liquids and gases under high pressure
- Mechanical Engineering and Production Plants: Precise connections for various machine components
- Energy and Environment: Fittings that withstand demanding environmental influences
Ermeto Fitting – The Cutting Ring Principle
In Ermeto fittings, the so-called cutting ring principle plays an important role. This principle has been continuously improved and adapted to modern challenges over decades. As a result, Ermeto fittings are now among the most frequently used connection systems worldwide.
The EO progressive ring fitting creates a leak-free connection of pipelines and components in hydraulic systems. The secure sealing and holding function is achieved by the EO progressive ring, which, due to its special geometry, penetrates the tube up to a constructively defined limit during assembly. The progressive penetration of the ring is characterized by the fact that during assembly, the front cutting edge (A) has already begun to penetrate the tube before the second cutting edge (B) engages. Once the functionally intended incision for both cutting edges is reached, further advancement is limited.
Due to the geometry of the two cutting edges, occurring forces are favorably transferred in terms of strength along the entire cone length. This distribution of forces and the specially designed inner contour at the collar end (C) of the ring result in increased safety under alternating bending stresses. Vibrations are thus damped already upon entering the ring. The special inner contour of the Ermeto fitting causes an increase in tightening forces during assembly up to a noticeable fixed point (assembly fixed point). After completion of assembly, the visible collar bulge (D) must fill the space in front of the first cutting edge. For tubes made of stainless steels and hose fittings made of free-cutting steels, the collar bulge is smaller due to the material. A slight spring-back of the ring (E) is desired. This spring effect permanently compensates for bending vibrations and setting behavior in the union nut thread.
EO-DUR stainless steel fittings represent a special variant of the Ermeto fitting and are equipped with a special progressive ring whose geometry is optimized for secure assembly with stainless steel tubing. Fittings of the LL series and all brass fittings are equipped with the D cutting and wedge ring.
Advantages of Ermeto Fittings over other Systems
Ermeto fittings, or Parker fittings, are characterized by their high quality and numerous other advantages over standard fitting systems. These include:
- High pressure resistance: Suitable for high-pressure hydraulics
- Space-saving design: Ideal for compact constructions
- Material variety: Optimal adaptation to the application through steel, stainless steel, and brass
- Standard-compliant fitting system: Complies with ISO and DIN standards
