IBEDA quick-release couplings for gas are available with 2 different locking mechanisms. Depending on your preference, you can choose between a locking mechanism that requires pulling (Pull) or pushing (Push). The properties of the quick-release coupling are otherwise identical. Only the movement of the locking sleeve differs.

Certified Quality Thanks to BAM Testing and Additional Testing for Longer Service Life

The one-hand quick-release coupling for hoses has successfully passed a voluntary special test by the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) and has been certified for its continuous stress of 6000 coupling test cycles. Compared to the required standard of 1000 cycles, the hose coupling was still fully functional and gas-tight after this test. Thus, the hose coupling has set a new standard for all applications in welding technology and is also excellently suited for tough industrial use.

During the test, the hose couplings showed a service life that was more than five times longer than required by the standard. Therefore, they are ideal for standard applications in welding and gas technology and especially for tough industrial use in steelworks, shipyards, offshore areas, and open-pit mining.

The IBEDA one-hand quick-release couplings according to EN 561/ ISO 7289 were tested for continuous stress with 6000 coupling test cycles in accordance with paragraph 7.7 of EN 561 and subsequently checked for gas tightness in accordance with paragraph 9.7. After this test, the couplings remained fully functional and gas-tight.
