On March 1, 2023, the improved AK13 blow-gun will be introduced. Thanks to its new nozzle, it is now OSHA-compliant and thus follows the increasing safety requirements for blow-guns.
With this upgrade, the AK13 becomes Parker's sole standard blow-gun, also replacing the Legris 0659 00 13 blow-gun and Transair's EA59 00 13.
Of course, the products based on the AK13, AK26SF (AK13 with series 26 plug) and the AK13SE set (with 10 pieces AK13) will also be changed at Parker on March 1st.
OHSA
An OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) compliant blow gun meets certain safety standards set by the US government agency OSHA to ensure the health and safety of workers in the industry. This includes, for example, using a multi-hole nozzle or a built-in pressure reducer to prevent the risk of excessive pressure. The OHSA stipulates that direct skin contact must not exceed 2.1 bar pressure. This is to protect against air entering the body through broken skin that can cause an embolism.
