Technical Terms — Concerning Solenoid Valves
Control Type:
The mechanical method used to regulate the flow.
Valve Body Material:
Main part of the solenoid valve with the necessary ports, seats, and orifices.
Function:
The mode of operation of the valve in the resting state (at rest).
Connection:
The connection dimensions are specified as inch threads (G) in BSP or as subplate dimensions when a flat connection interface (flange connection) is used.
Nominal Diameter (mm):
Diameter of the main orifice in mm (nominal width).
Flow Factors:
Define the amount of water that flows through the solenoid valve in one minute with a pressure drop of 1 bar. Expressed in l/min and m3/h.
Max. Allowable Medium Temperature:
Maximum medium temperature that the valve can withstand.
Max. Ambient Temperature:
Maximum ambient temperature that the valve can withstand.
Minimum Operating Pressure Differential:
The minimum differential pressure required for operation, in bar.
Maximum Operating Pressure Differential (MOPD):
The highest differential pressure in operation when 90 percent of the rated voltage (-10 % Vn) is applied (for AC) or 95 percent of the rated voltage (-5 % Vn) is applied (for DC).
Medium Temperature:
Minimum and maximum allowable temperature for the medium used (°C).
Seat Material:
Material used for the seat discs.
Valve Type:
Refers to the type of Parker valve.
Coil Type:
Recommended compatible coil.
Power Consumption:
Power consumption of a specific electrical part on a selected pressure vessel – specified in AC and DC (W). The power consumption must be considered for the coil in the cold state at an ambient temperature of +20 °C.
