Available Connection Threads

Two types of pipe threads are available:
Cylindrical threads (BSPP) are also screwed into cylindrical internal threads. Sealing is ensured by a flange seal or a sealing ring.
Taper threads (BSPT) are screwed into cylindrical or taper internal threads. Sealing is ensured by a thread coating.
Thread Sizes
Cylindrical BSP Thread (BSPP):
G + nominal size according to standard ISO 228-1
Example: Cylindrical thread 1/8" = G 1/8
Taper BSP Thread (BSPT):
R + nominal size according to standard ISO 7-1
Example: Taper thread 1/8" = R 1/8
Internal Thread:
Cylindrical: G + nominal size
Taper: R + nominal size
NPT threads are American standard threads that are also screwed into taper internal threads. Sealing is ensured by a thread coating.
Example: NPT thread 1/8" = 1/8 NPT
These ISO threads are cylindrical and are screwed into metric internal threads. Sealing is ensured by a flange seal or a sealing ring.
Thread Sizes
M + diameter x pitch in mm according to ISO 68-1 and ISO 965-1.
Example: Metric thread Ø 7 with 1 mm pitch = M7x1
