Insert Bits, Square Drive Adapters, Adapters, Sockets for Impact Wrenches ...

For more than half a century, Apex has maintained its position as the global market leader in fastening tools for industrial applications. Numerous bits, socket combinations, and other tools and adapters originally introduced by Apex have become industry standard – with the quality, service, and selection being unsurpassed.
More Quality for the Money
Quality at Apex starts with the selection of raw materials. Only carefully selected, high-alloy machine steel is used for Apex fastening tools. Each tool is precisely manufactured from bar stock, with the highest demands for accuracy. A snugly fitting, secure fit is achieved with every piece, which is not possible with stamped tools. Finally, every Apex fastening tool is hardened in an exclusive heat treatment process. This processing step achieves the hardness required for the respective field of application.

APEX sockets are industry standard (black finish). Available as standard, long, extra long, thin-walled in Hex, Double Hex, Square, Double Square, Surface-Drive, Fast Lead, with fixed and spring-loaded magnet, Torx, and various special versions.

For fastening conventional or hardened screws, magnetic sockets facilitate access to hard-to-reach places. Application in automation is also common. Magnetic sockets begin with an "M" before the item number.

"MB" (Magnetic Bolt) sockets for fastening nuts onto threaded studs. During fastening, the spring-loaded magnet is compressed by the threaded stud, allowing penetration into the socket. These tools are also available in the "SM" (Magnetic Sleeve) version. The advantage of these tools is that the spring-loaded magnet is replaced by a magnetic sleeve, and the threaded stud can penetrate up to the drive square. Magnetic Bolt or Sleeve Magnet sockets begin with "MB" or "SM" before the item number, respectively. Also available as Surface Drive upon request.

This profile has been developed for use on spindle-driven machines. The large spaces allow a smooth, fast engagement onto nuts and bolts, with the surface of the nut / bolt being touched only by the surfaces of the rounded profiles. Thus, the corners of the nut / bolt move freely in the spaces between the rounded profiles. These tools are only conditionally suitable for use on impact tools. Surface Drive sockets begin with "SF" before the item number. Magnetic version upon request.

The chamfered edges on this socket allow for fast engagement, creating a solid connection upon placement, unlike SF sockets. This feature enables quick capture of a hexagon. Engagement is thus possible without shutting off the power source. Fast Lead sockets begin with "FL" before the item number. Magnetic version upon request.

Spline, tap holder, and other sockets for your special application are available upon request.

Apex supplies the necessary accessories to adapt sockets to nearly any tool and application.
