Coupling Systems with Automatic Venting

Thanks to the patented one-hand venting technology with two separate locking systems, it is possible for automatic venting to occur before uncoupling.
The system fulfills the requirements of ISO 4414 and is BIA-compliant.
Area of application exclusively for compressed air applications.
Plastic sleeves additionally prevent scratching of surfaces!
Coupling bodies with a push button ensure the simplest and most intuitive operation: Safety Couplings with Push Button and Automatic Venting
The following series are available: 18KE, 25KE, 1600KE and 1700KE – the series 14KE, 24KE and 26KE with plastic sleeve or push button

Problem
In pneumatic systems, lines must often be disconnected and reconnected to the compressed air supply and at changing processing stations. The separation and reconnection of the line connection is usually done under pressure with so-called quick disconnect couplings, which consist of a coupling and a plug. The coupling and the line parts before the coupling remain under pressure after separation, while the plug with the connected hose and the corresponding line parts are vented during separation. The coupling is almost always permanently attached to the machine or hall structure.
In addition to the usual quick disconnect couplings, safety quick disconnect couplings have also been offered on the market for several years. When uncoupling usual quick disconnect couplings, the plug that is released can fly out of the coupling like a projectile and the hose line connected to it can whip around (whiplash effect). This potential hazard does not occur when using suitable safety quick disconnect couplings. Test requirements had to be developed for their safety assessment.
