Function of Electric Screwdrivers

The screwdriver is available as a push start or lever start.
With the lever start method, the screwdriver starts by operating the lever with the hand.
It is different with the push start method – the screwdriver starts by pressing the screw onto the screw head.

The bits can be easily inserted or removed by pressing the blade into the bit holder (which is unlocked).
Choose bits with shank shape E, 1/4" (∅ 6 mm).

The tightening torque is set by turning the torque adjustment ring. In order to achieve the correct tightening torque in practice, set the scaled torque adjustment ring on the housing to the value prescribed for tightening the screw. Then screw in a screw.
Checking or Adjusting the Set Torque
The measurement of the tightened screw and the torque is carried out by unscrewing the screw with a torque wrench. A torque measuring wrench is used for this, which displays the tightened torque by means of a mechanical dial gauge. If the screw was tightened too weakly, adjust the setting ring on the electric screwdriver to a larger torque value. If the torque was tightened too strongly, turn it back to a smaller torque value.
After 1 million screw connections or after one year, the following care and maintenance must be performed. This is the only way for the electric screwdriver to function properly.
- Check the motor's carbon brushes for wear and replace the newly supplied brushes if necessary
- Thoroughly clean the motor housing and interior with compressed air to prevent motor ventilation from being blocked by carbon brush deposits
- Relubricate the reduction gearbox
