Wear and damage to VOMO, MOS and MOK pre-assembly tools can be determined with cone-templates. The pre-assembly tools must be checked regularly (after a maximum of 50 assemblies) with a KONU cone-template in order to avoid assembly errors. The cone-templates are very precise measuring tools specially designed to check the EO pre-assembly tools. Fault detection on finished pipe assemblies is not possible with this.
