New hydrogen ball valves for industrial applications

Optimal Solution for H2 Pipework

The new ball valve series is available in sizes from DN 20 (3/4") up to DN 200 (8"), covering a wide range of applications. A key benefit is its compatibility with the company’s F37 Non-Welding Piping technology. This non-welded connection system enables a fast, secure, and cost-efficient flanged connection for hydraulic pipes and tubes, eliminating the need for welding. The combination of the ball valves with this technology offers an ideal solution for hydrogen pipework systems

The valves are designed for a standard temperature range of −40°C to +85°C, with other temperature options available upon request. The maximum working pressure is dependent on the specific application and connection type.

Certified Safety and High-Quality Materials

Given the demanding nature of hydrogen as a medium, Parker Hannifin places a strong emphasis on safety and material compatibility.

  •  Certifications and Approvals: The ball valves adhere to high safety standards, including ATEX 2014/34/EU Category IIC 2G and 3G , and the Firesafe standard DIN EN ISO 10497. Certification for low emission according to DIN EN ISO 15848-1 (TA-Luft 2021) underscores the valve's excellent sealing performance. TPED DIN EN ISO 23826 is available upon request

  • Materials: The body is standardly made of stainless steel 1.4571 / AISI316Ti. The ball is made of 1.4571/Nitronic-50®, and the stem is made of Nitronic-50®, a high-strength, corrosion-resistant material well-suited for hydrogen service. Ball seats are PEEK, while the body and stem sealing are FKM / PTFE

Standard valve actuation is via a hand lever. However, pneumatic or electric actuators as well as accessories like a solenoid valve and limit switch are available upon request.
