Liquifit KTW and W270 certified
The Liquifit connection systems are now also KTW & W270 certified in addition to NSF and FDA. The KTW guideline makes demands on plastic products for use in connection with drinking water. Drinking water quality is one of the highest quality levels in Germany at all and exceeds the requirements for products that may be used, for example, in food technology or the beverage industry.
Certification according to KTW guidelines ensures that no materials of the drinking water-conducting product leach unwanted substances into the drinking water. In addition, it should be prevented that the products or materials used promote the growth of microorganisms, such as algae or bacteria.
The testing of the materials used to promote microbial growth on the materials used is carried out in accordance with DIN EN 16421. The test procedure for this is described in detail in DVGW worksheet W270 and is a prerequisite for KTW certification.
