Gas couplings and plugs from IBEDA

IBEDA stands for first-class gas safety technology worldwide. The company based in Neustadt (Wied) has been manufacturing safety devices and quick couplings of excellent quality for decades. In addition to reliable safety, the IBEDA gas couplings are also equipped with a special convenience feature: 2 different locking systems to choose from.

IBEDA hose coupling systems PUSH or PULL

The IBEDA hat sleeve couplings are offered with a push locking system or alternatively with a pull locking system. Depending on preference or habit, users can now choose between two locking systems, with all the properties of the IBEDA couplings remaining identical. The only difference is the direction of movement of the locking sleeve when locking or unlocking the coupling.

Color coding for differentiation

The components are color-coded to avoid confusing the lines when connecting. Red, blue and black markings indicate whether fuel gas, oxygen or inert gas is connected. This prevents accidental incorrect connection.

Certified quality through BAM testing and additional testing for a longer service life

The one-hand quick coupling for hoses has successfully undergone a voluntary special test by the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) and has endured a continuous load of 6000 coupling test cycles. Compared to the required standard of 1000 cycles, the hose coupling was still fully functional and gas-tight after this test. The hose coupling has thus set a new standard for all applications in welding technology and is also ideal for tough industrial use.

In tests, the hose couplings showed a service life that was more than five times longer than that generally required by the standard. They are therefore excellently suited for all standard applications in welding and gas technology and are particularly predestined for tough industrial use in steel works, shipyards and in the offshore area as well as in opencast mining.

The IBEDA hose couplings (one-hand quick couplings) according to EN 561/ ISO 7289 were tested according to paragraph 7.7 of EN 561 for long-term stress with 6000 coupling test cycles and then tested for gas tightness according to paragraph 9.7. After this test, the couplings were still fully functional and gas-tight.
